Alanyaspor — Last 6
Kayserispor — Last 6

Alanyaspor host Kayserispor in the Trendyol Süper Lig on Saturday evening, 9 May 2026, with both sides carrying very different levels of pressure into the closing stretch of the season. João Pereira’s team are sitting 12th on 34 points, well clear of the immediate danger but still stuck in a frustrating mid-table rut. Kayserispor, meanwhile, are 17th with 27 points and the table is a lot less forgiving there. They need points, fast.

There’s enough context here to make this feel like more than a routine league fixture. Alanyaspor have spent the spring drawing too many games and then slipping up at home when they’d expect to cash in. Kayserispor have been battered by inconsistency all season, and their away record tells its own grim story. One team is trying to turn a sluggish finish into something respectable. The other is trying to drag itself out of trouble. Simple enough. Not easy for either side.

Saturday’s meeting also arrives with some recent memory attached. These clubs have already shared a goalless draw in Kayseri back in December, and there’s a familiar pattern in this pairing: tight matches, few goals, and little room for error. That should matter here, even if the league positions make the home side look the safer pick.

Alanyaspor Form & Analysis

Alanyaspor’s recent run has been the sort that leaves supporters torn between irritation and resignation. They went to Antalyaspor on 3 May and came away with a 0-0 draw, a result that at least stopped the bleeding after a miserable spell, but it hardly changed the bigger picture. Before that came the 2-3 home defeat to Samsunspor, a match they really needed to win and couldn’t manage to protect. That one stung. It was followed by a Coupe de Turquie knockout defeat away to Beşiktaş, where they lost 3-0 on 23 April, and their league trip to Kasımpaşa ended in a 1-0 reverse as well. Three defeats on the spin had the look of a team sliding out of rhythm.

You have to go back to 11 April for their last home league point, when they drew 1-1 with Trabzonspor, and the draw at Gaziantep FK on 4 April was another reminder of the same issue: they’ve been hard enough to beat at times, but not sharp enough to turn control into wins. They’re now six matches without a victory, and that run says a lot about their current edge — or lack of it. Alanyaspor have only won once at home in the recent stretch that matters here, and although their overall home record of five wins, five draws and six defeats is decent enough on paper, the 20 goals scored and 16 conceded at home show a side that doesn’t completely dominate matches. They’re capable, just not ruthless.

The odd thing is that Alanyaspor haven’t been awful in possession or territory at home; the numbers are respectable enough to suggest they can create, especially against weaker visitors. But they’ve been held back by wasted chances and a lack of conviction in the final third. Their latest outing at Antalyaspor was a good example. They generated a decent enough 0.95 xG, restricted the hosts to 0.17, and still had to settle for a blank. That should worry João Pereira. If you’re this blunt in front of goal, you leave too many games hanging around. And when a match gets sticky, anything can happen.

Still, there are signs that Alanyaspor know how to keep things under control when the game suits them. They’re not shipping goals every week at home, and with 20 scored and 16 conceded at their own ground, this isn’t a side in freefall. The issue is more about control of moments. They don’t finish off opponents quickly enough. That’s why they keep drawing. That’s why one-goal margins keep appearing. It’s a pattern, and it’s become hard to ignore.

Kayserispor Form & Analysis

Kayserispor arrive in Alanya carrying the heavier burden. Their 1-1 draw at home to Eyüpspor on 3 May was at least a small step in the right direction after a mixed few weeks, but it didn’t fully calm the nerves. Before that, they beat Çaykur Rizespor 2-0 at home on 25 April, which remains one of the better results in their recent run. Sandwiched around that, though, were some ugly setbacks: a 3-0 defeat away to Gaziantep FK, a 4-0 home hammering by Fenerbahçe, and a 2-0 loss at Kasımpaşa. That’s the problem with Kayserispor. When they go wrong, they go wrong in a hurry.

Erling Moe’s side have been able to put together the odd decent performance, but the away record is brutal. One win, eight draws and seven defeats on the road, with only 11 goals scored and 27 conceded, is the profile of a team that rarely travels well and often spends too long defending in its own third. They’ve managed to avoid total collapse away from home by drawing a fair few, but that doesn’t flatter them as much as it might sound. It just means opponents have often been wasteful enough to let them escape with a point. Against sides with a bit more edge, they tend to crack.

Their overall season numbers are even less flattering. Kayserispor have scored only 24 goals in the league and conceded 58, which is a rough spread for any team trying to survive. You don’t need to dress that up. Defensively, they’ve been too open. Going forward, they’ve lacked consistent punch away from home, and that makes life much harder when they fall behind. They’ve now been beaten in three of their last five league games, and although the draw with Eyüpspor stopped the rot, it didn’t suddenly fix the structural issues.

There is one thing in their favour: they’ve shown they can be awkward and stubborn when the game stays level. The away draws tell you they’re not easy to put away in every contest, and the recent result at Kasımpaşa shows they can nick moments if opponents switch off. But this trip feels awkward for them. Alanyaspor are not flying, true, yet they’re the stronger side at home and have enough control in their own stadium to keep Kayserispor from dictating the tempo. If Kayserispor have to chase the match, that’s where it starts looking grim.

Head-to-Head

This fixture has been tight more often than not, and the recent meetings back that up. The clubs drew 0-0 in Kayseri in December, shared a 1-1 at Alanyaspor’s ground in May 2025, and Kayserispor edged a 2-0 home win in December 2024. Before that, Alanyaspor took a 1-0 win in March 2024 and Kayserispor won 1-0 in November 2023. There’s no consistent runaway pattern here. That’s part of the appeal, and part of the warning.

The broader trend is low scoring. Six of the last six league meetings have stayed under 2.5 goals, and that fits the way these teams have approached each other. Alanyaspor have not lost the last three league games in this matchup either. It’s the kind of head-to-head that tends to get cagey once the first goal doesn’t arrive early. And if one of these sides does concede first, the chase usually becomes uncomfortable.

We Predict: Home Win

We’re backing Alanyaspor to win at 11/10 here, and that price looks fair for a home side with the better league position, the steadier home record, and the cleaner overall balance. If you want to dig a bit deeper here, the BTTS and win tips page pulls together BTTS and win combinations if you want a more aggressive version of the same kind of read. Kayserispor’s away form is simply too weak to trust, especially with only one road win all season and a defensive return that’s been far too generous to hosts. Alanyaspor haven’t been brilliant, but they’re more stable in this setting. That should count.

The most likely score is 2-1 to Alanyaspor. That fits the shape of both teams: enough quality from the hosts to edge it, enough chaos in Kayserispor’s defending to let the visitors nick a goal, and enough recent low-margin football between them to keep this from turning into a procession. If you want a safer alternative, the home side in the double-chance market would also have appeal, but the straight home win is the call.
