Al-Hilal — Last 6
Damac FC — Last 6

Al-Hilal host Damac FC in the Saudi Pro League on Tuesday evening, 28 April 2026, with the title race and the lower-half scrap both pulling in very different directions. Simone Inzaghi’s side are second in the table but still unbeaten in the league, and every point matters as they try to keep the pressure on at the top and protect an extraordinary run of domestic consistency. Damac arrive 15th and looking over their shoulder, with survival still the main concern rather than any grander ambition.

It’s a familiar-looking matchup on paper, though the gap in class is obvious. Al-Hilal have been ruthless at home all season, and they’ve already made the Riyadh crowd wait for very little. Damac, on the other hand, have spent most of the campaign trying to stay afloat on the road. They’ve picked up the odd useful result, but this is a brutal assignment. No way around it.

The broader context favours the hosts too. Al-Hilal are unbeaten after 28 league matches, with 20 wins and eight draws, and they’ve conceded just 25 goals all season. That’s the sort of record that keeps titles alive deep into spring. Damac’s numbers tell a different story entirely: five wins, 11 draws and 13 defeats, with a negative goal difference and one of the weaker away records in the division. That’s why the market leans so strongly one way.

Al-Hilal Form & Analysis

Al-Hilal come into this on a run that’s short of perfect but still looks frightening from an opponent’s point of view. Their last six have brought three wins and three draws, and the story of that spell is classic Al-Hilal: plenty of goals, very little fear, and the occasional defensive wobble that doesn’t usually cost them domestically. They beat Al-Najma SC 4-0 at home, went to Al-Fateh and won 1-0, then returned to Riyadh and smashed Al-Kholood 6-0. After that came a 2-2 draw with Al-Taawoun and a wild 3-3 against Al-Sadd in the AFC Champions League Elite. That last one was a different tempo entirely, full of chaos and end-to-end play. They don’t do boring very often.

At home, the league record is as strong as you’d expect from a side chasing the top. Al-Hilal are 11-4-0 at their ground, with 38 goals scored and only 11 conceded. That’s dominance in the rawest sense. They’re not just winning; they’re usually doing it with room to spare. The 6-0 against Al-Kholood was the bluntest reminder, but even the 2-2 against Al-Taawoun showed how hard they are to contain for 90 minutes. You can frustrate them for a while. Eventually, though, they usually break you.

There’s also a clear rhythm to their attacking game. They’ve scored first in six straight league matches, which says plenty about the way Inzaghi’s team impose themselves from the opening whistle. That matters here. Damac can’t afford to chase this game, because if Al-Hilal get in front early, the contest can drift very quickly. Still, the recent Champions League draw did expose a little more space in behind than Al-Hilal would like, and that’s the one opening Damac will be praying for. One slip and the perfect home record in the league starts to feel less bulletproof. Still, this is a side that rarely lets things unravel twice in a row.

Damac FC Form & Analysis

Damac arrive with a bit of momentum, and that’s about the best thing you can say about the trip north. Their last six have been a mixed bag, but the two most recent results were useful ones: a 2-0 home win over Al-Okhdood on 23 April, followed by a 1-1 draw with Al-Qadsiah earlier in the month. That draw came after a bruising 3-0 loss away to Al-Ahli, which was a reminder that when Damac step up in class, they can still be stretched badly. Before that, though, they did beat Al-Najma SC 3-1 away and Al-Riyadh 3-0 at home, so they’re not arriving in total disarray.

The problem is the away record, and it’s a proper problem. Damac’s league form on the road stands at 2-5-7, with only 12 goals scored and 28 conceded. That’s a grim profile for a visit to one of the most relentless home sides in the division. They’ve picked up occasional points away from home, and the draw at Al-Fateh and win at Al-Najma SC suggest they’re capable of competing when the game state suits them. But there’s a big difference between nicking a result against mid-table opposition and holding off Al-Hilal in Riyadh. Huge difference.

What Damac do have is a more functional recent shape than their league position suggests. Fábio Carille’s side have won two of their last three league games, kept a clean sheet against Al-Okhdood, and shown enough attacking confidence to score three at Al-Najma SC and three at home to Al-Riyadh in the recent past. The flip side is they’ve also conceded three at Al-Ahli and given up too much territory in tougher fixtures. Against Al-Hilal, that kind of defensive looseness tends to get punished fast. Can they keep their structure for long enough? That’s the question.

They’ll probably need a compact block and a bit of luck to stay alive. Damac have drawn enough games this season to show they can slow matches down, but away from home their resistance usually fades once the pressure builds. The numbers around corners and territorial pressure are interesting too — they can win a decent share of set-piece sequences — but against a side like Al-Hilal, that kind of edge only matters if you’re already still in the game. If they’re chasing, it won’t help much.

Head-to-Head

This fixture has leaned heavily Al-Hilal’s way for a long time, and the recent meetings back that up. The reverse game in January 2026 ended Damac FC 0-2 Al-Hilal, while the last visit to Riyadh finished 3-2 to the hosts in August 2024. Before that, there was a 2-1 Al-Hilal win in March 2024 and a 1-1 draw in September 2023. Go back a little further and you’ll find a 0-1 defeat for Damac at home in May 2023, plus a 4-2 Al-Hilal win in 2022.

The pattern is pretty clear. Al-Hilal don’t lose this fixture, and Damac usually end up conceding at least once or twice. The scorelines are often competitive enough to keep things interesting, but the balance of power hasn’t really moved. That’s the key point here. Damac have enough to make this awkward for a spell. They just don’t have the head-to-head edge to suggest a shock is brewing.

We Predict: Home Win

We’re backing Al-Hilal to win this at 4/9. It’s a short price, and it should be. Their home record is spotless in the league, they’ve scored 38 times in 15 games at this ground, and they’ve taken the lead in six straight league outings. Damac’s away record is the kind of thing title contenders feast on. They’ve lost seven of 14 on the road and conceded 28 goals. That’s too open for a visit here.

The cleanest read is a comfortable Al-Hilal victory, though 2-1 feels a fairer correct score than a rout. Damac have enough recent attacking output to nick something, especially if Al-Hilal’s focus drifts after that 3-3 with Al-Sadd, and the xG projection of 1.9 to 0.7 points to the visitors getting a look or two. Still, the home side should control the game and land the decisive blows. If you want a safer angle, Al-Hilal to win and over 1.5 goals is worth a look.
