FC København — Last 6
Odense Boldklub — Last 6

FC København welcome Odense Boldklub to the Parken on Wednesday evening, 22 April 2026, in the Danish Superliga relegation round, with both sides trying to keep momentum alive at a decisive point in the season. For FCK, this is about staying on top of a group where every slip can matter. For OB, it’s a chance to show that their recent spark isn’t just a short-lived run.

There’s a bit of tension in the backdrop too. These two met only a few weeks ago on 15 March, when Odense edged a 2-1 home win, and they also drew 2-2 on 21 February. That means the recent meetings have been lively, tight and far from one-sided. FCK still carry the bigger reputation and the stronger attacking numbers in this section of the season, but OB won’t travel to Copenhagen feeling intimidated. They’ve already taken points off them. That changes the mood a little.

This one feels like it should have goals. The form lines, the recent head-to-heads and the way both sides have been playing all point in the same direction. Defensive discipline isn’t exactly the headline here. Not for either side.

FC København Form & Analysis

FC København arrive on the back of three straight wins in all competitions, and the most recent of those was a proper statement away at Vejle on 19 April, where they won 4-1. That wasn’t a smash-and-grab either. They had 17 shots, 8 on target and created four big chances, while their xG of 2.17 underlined how consistently they got into dangerous areas. Andreas Cornelius scored early, Lasse Flø added another, and Geovanni Vianney finished the job with two late goals. That’s the sort of game that tells you confidence is flowing.

The win at Vejle came after a 2-1 success at Randers and a ridiculous 7-0 demolition of Silkeborg at home on 5 April. Before that, things were choppier. FC Fredericia beat them 2-1 in Copenhagen on 22 March, and Odense got the better of them by the same scoreline on 15 March. So there’s still a reminder that FCK aren’t untouchable. Still, the response since then has been sharp. Three wins from the last three. That’s good timing.

At home this season, the numbers are clearly built for attacking football rather than caution. Their latest home outing, that 7-0 rout of Silkeborg, was extreme even by their standards. They’ve also shown they can overwhelm opponents quickly and stretch games once they get in front. What stands out most is the way they keep creating big chances and forcing the issue. The defensive side isn’t as clean. The loss to Fredericia at home showed that. If you let the game get open against them, they’ll usually score. The flip side? They’re not always tight enough at the back to shut the door.

There’s also a strong pattern worth respecting: FC København have gone over 2.5 goals in all ten of their most recent matches in the relevant sample, and they’ve seen both teams score in nine of the last ten. That doesn’t happen by accident. It’s a reflection of a side that plays on the front foot, takes risks, and rarely settles for control alone. Bo Svensson’s team look far more interested in winning games than managing them. Good for the neutral. Good for goals too.

Odense Boldklub Form & Analysis

Odense come in with their own confidence after beating Randers 3-1 at home on 19 April. That was a tidy, efficient win. They didn’t dominate every phase, but they created enough, finished well and stayed composed once the game opened up. Jona Niemiec scored the opener, Cyril Edudzi and Leeroy Owusu added the others, and Marcus McCoy wrapped it up late. The shots count was close enough, the big chances were competitive, and OB did what good home sides do in these games: they punished moments.

Before that, though, the road trip to Silkeborg on 12 April brought them back down to earth. They lost 3-1 there, and that followed a narrow 1-0 home win over FC Fredericia and a 1-1 draw away at Vejle. If you go back a little further, the pattern gets even more mixed. They beat FC København 2-1 on 15 March, but were beaten 1-0 away at Sønderjyske on 1 March. So OB are not rolling through this section of the season. They’re patchy. Dangerous, yes. Reliable, no.

That away form is the big question. Can they keep it going outside their own ground? The answer so far is only partly reassuring. They’ve won at neither Vejle nor Sønderjyske, and the loss at Silkeborg showed they can be pulled into a game where they concede too much. Even so, they’re not passive on the road. They’ve scored away at Vejle and Silkeborg, and they scored in the recent win over FCK too. That matters here. If you’re travelling to Copenhagen, you need a puncher’s chance. OB at least tend to take one with them.

There’s a clear scoring trend running through their recent work as well. They’ve found the net in eight of their last ten league games and have been involved in enough open matches to keep this fixture honest. Their own defensive record isn’t spotless — far from it — and they’ve now gone a long stretch without a clean sheet against FCK in this rivalry. That won’t fill them with joy before a trip to Parken. They can compete, sure. But if they let FCK settle early, they’ll spend the night chasing.

Head-to-Head

Recent meetings have been lively and a touch unpredictable. Odense beat FC København 2-1 on 15 March and had already held them to a 2-2 draw on 21 February. Go back a little further and FCK were the stronger side, with a 1-1 draw in Copenhagen in August 2025, a 2-0 win at Odense in March 2024, and a 2-1 home victory in August 2023.

The standout result in the sequence was the 7-0 FCK thumping of OB in March 2023, but that feels like an outlier now rather than a template. More recent meetings have been tighter and more open. Four of the last five have seen both teams score, and that’s hard to ignore. These sides don’t tend to sit on their hands when they meet. They go at it.

We Predict: Over 2.5 Goals

We’re backing Over 2.5 Goals at 1/2 for this one. It’s a short price, but it’s the right side of the line. FC København’s recent run has been relentlessly high-scoring, with all ten of their latest matches clearing 2.5 goals, while Odense have been involved in enough open games to keep pace. Add in the last two head-to-heads — 2-1 and 2-2 — and this really doesn’t look like a fixture where either side will be in the mood to shut up shop.

The 2-1 correct score feels the natural fit. FCK have the stronger firepower and home advantage, while OB have shown they can land a punch of their own. That said, the total-goals angle still feels stronger than a straight match-result call. If you wanted a little extra spice, both teams to score also has plenty going for it, but Over 2.5 remains the main play.
