Gaziantep FK — Last 6
Beşiktaş JK — Last 6

Gaziantep FK welcome Beşiktaş to Gaziantep on Friday evening in the Trendyol Süper Lig, with both sides still chasing something meaningful as the season runs down. Gaziantep sit 10th on 37 points, safely away from the drop but not quite in that middle ground where everyone can relax. Beşiktaş are up in fourth with 56 points and still very much in the hunt for a strong finish, whether that means tightening their grip on a European place or pushing for more if results elsewhere break their way.

There’s also a clear contrast in momentum. Gaziantep have been erratic for weeks, throwing in the odd sharp home result but looking open far too often away from their own ground. Beşiktaş, meanwhile, have not exactly been flying, but they remain the more reliable side over the full season and arrive with a far cleaner away record. That matters here. Gaziantep will fancy their chances of scoring, though, and the market is leaning heavily that way.

The story of this fixture also carries a bit of edge from recent meetings. These two drew 2-2 in Istanbul back in December, and the broader pattern between them has usually been competitive rather than one-sided. Gaziantep have found ways to nick results in this matchup before, but Beşiktaş are the better side on paper and have enough quality to make life uncomfortable if the game opens up.

Gaziantep FK Form & Analysis

Gaziantep’s last six league matches have been a proper mixed bag, and that’s putting it kindly. They were beaten 4-1 at Antalyaspor on 13 March, then turned around and lost 4-1 at Fenerbahçe four days later. A home draw with Alanyaspor followed on 4 April, then a narrow 2-1 defeat at Çaykur Rizespor. They finally produced something positive on 20 April, beating Kayserispor 3-0 at home, only to come straight back down to earth with a 3-0 loss at Eyüpspor on 25 April. That’s the problem with Gaziantep right now. One decent performance doesn’t turn into a run.

The home picture is a little steadier, though not exactly formidable. Gaziantep’s league record at their own ground stands at five wins, five draws and five defeats, with 21 goals scored and 23 conceded. That’s the sort of split that says they’re awkward enough in front of their own fans, but not nearly solid enough to be trusted. They can score. They can also give it away. A 3-0 win over Kayserispor shows there’s firepower there when things click, but the 1-1 draw with Alanyaspor and the 0-0 or controlled kind of home shutouts just aren’t the norm here. They’ve conceded in most of the big games and, against stronger opposition, they’ve been made to chase.

There’s a pattern forming as well. Gaziantep have been involved in open games more often than not, and their recent away defeats have been especially messy. Their last visit to Eyüpspor ended 3-0, and they conceded three again at Fenerbahçe. That sort of defending won’t hold up against a Beşiktaş side that carries a lot more threat than their league position suggests. Still, Gaziantep do have enough about them to ask questions at home. They’re not dead and buried by any stretch. They just don’t control games for long enough.

Beşiktaş JK Form & Analysis

Beşiktaş come into this one in better shape, though their own recent form has been a touch stop-start. They were held 0-0 at home by Fatih Karagümrük on 27 April, and the frustration there was obvious because they dominated the numbers without finding a way through. Before that, they beat Alanyaspor 3-0 in the Turkish Cup knockout stage on 23 April, which should have lifted the mood, but a 2-1 defeat at Samsunspor in the league four days earlier had already reminded them that away work can still get tricky. Earlier in the run, they beat Antalyaspor 4-2 at home, lost 1-0 away to Fenerbahçe, then edged Kasımpaşa 2-1 in Istanbul. It’s a fairly familiar Beşiktaş story: dangerous going forward, a bit vulnerable when the pressure rises, and never quite as comfortable as the table might suggest.

Their away record is still strong enough to command respect. In league matches on the road, Beşiktaş have seven wins, four draws and four defeats, with 25 scored and 18 conceded. That’s a proper top-four away profile. They don’t shut teams out every week, but they usually find a way to create enough chances to get something done. The 1-0 loss at Fenerbahçe shows they can be squeezed by elite opposition, while the 2-1 defeat at Samsunspor tells you they’re not bulletproof. Even so, they’ve scored regularly away from home and tend to carry enough attacking threat to land a blow, even when the performance isn’t pristine.

The draw with Fatih Karagümrük is worth a glance too. Beşiktaş generated 2.02 expected goals and had 20 shots, seven on target, yet they still couldn’t find a breakthrough. That’s wasteful, and it’s why no one should get carried away by the cup win over Alanyaspor. But if they bring that level of pressure to Gaziantep, they’ll create chances. The question is whether they’ll take them. You’d expect them to score. You’d also expect Gaziantep to get a look in at the other end.

Head-to-Head

This fixture has been competitive in recent seasons, and the most recent meeting finished 2-2 at Beşiktaş in December. Before that, Gaziantep won 2-1 away in March 2025, which was a sharp reminder that they’re capable of upsetting the bigger names when the game becomes stretched. The previous handful of meetings also suggest neither side tends to dominate for long.

There’s a useful pattern here: Gaziantep have avoided defeat in four straight against Beşiktaş, and several of those games have been tight. The flip side is that both defences have usually been breached. Beşiktaş haven’t kept a clean sheet in four straight meetings with Gaziantep, while Gaziantep have gone three without one in this fixture. That points in one direction.

We Predict: Both Teams To Score

We’re backing Both Teams To Score at 1/2 for this one. If you want to dig a bit deeper here, the guide to 2.5 goals betting breaks down the 2.5 goals line with a clearer read on how to price open games. It’s short enough, sure, but it still looks like the right angle. Gaziantep have been involved in plenty of high-scoring matches lately, and their home record isn’t built on locking teams out. Beşiktaş bring more quality and a stronger away profile, yet they’ve also been conceding enough to keep opponents alive.

A 1-2 Beşiktaş win feels the most natural scoreline. Gaziantep should find a way through at home, especially with Beşiktaş’ recent habit of leaving openings, but the visitors’ attacking edge ought to tell over 90 minutes. If you want a slightly bolder alternative, Over 2.5 Goals has a decent case too, though BTTS feels the safer call given how these sides have been playing.
