Konyaspor — Last 6
Fenerbahçe — Last 6

Konyaspor return to league duty on Saturday evening with a serious problem to solve, and a little momentum in their pocket. Fenerbahçe arrive at Konya Büyükşehir Stadyumu as one of the title chase’s heavyweights, sitting second in the table on 70 points and still very much alive at the sharp end of the Süper Lig race. Konyaspor, meanwhile, are mid-table in ninth on 40 points. Safe enough, but hardly comfortable enough to switch off.

There’s also a fresh layer of tension from the calendar. These two met in the Türkiye Kupası on 21 April and there was nothing between them after 90 minutes, with Konyaspor earning a 0-0 draw at home. Since then, the sides have gone in different directions: Konyaspor have edged Beşiktaş in the cup and slipped past Trabzonspor in the league, while Fenerbahçe have responded to their derby defeat at Galatasaray with a convincing 3-1 win over Başakşehir. That’s the shape of this one. One side is chasing silverware and pressure, the other is trying to finish strongly and spoil the script.

For Fenerbahçe, the stakes are obvious. Lose ground now and the title race gets harder. For Konyaspor, it’s more about pride, home points and testing themselves against elite opposition. They’ve already shown they can make life awkward for this team. The question is whether they can do it again, and whether Fenerbahçe can turn a tricky away assignment into another step forward.

Konyaspor Form & Analysis

Konyaspor’s recent run has been scrappy, brave and a bit unpredictable. They beat Fatih Karagümrük 3-0 at home on 12 April, went to Antalyaspor and won 2-0 on 17 April, then held Fenerbahçe to a goalless draw in the cup on 21 April. That was followed by a sharp 2-1 home win over Trabzonspor on 27 April, before a narrow 3-2 league defeat away to Çaykur Rizespor on 1 May. They then came through a tough cup tie at Beşiktaş on 5 May, winning 1-0 thanks to Enis Bardhi’s late penalty in the 90+8th minute. That’s not the sort of result you stumble into by accident. They’ve been stubborn.

The home numbers give a clearer picture of what Konyaspor are. At their own ground in the league they’ve collected 24 points from 16 matches, with six wins, six draws and four defeats. They’ve scored 21 and conceded 16 there, which is tidy rather than spectacular. They won’t overwhelm teams with volume, but they’re usually in the fight. That’s important against Fenerbahçe, because Konyaspor’s strongest trait is often their ability to stay in matches long enough to make them awkward. They’ve also shown a habit of getting on the scoreboard first in this fixture run, and that’s no small detail.

Still, there are limits. Konyaspor’s overall record says as much: 42 goals scored, 45 conceded, and only 10 wins from 32 league games. The attack has moments, but it’s not relentless. You can see the pattern in the recent league defeat at Rizespor, where they scored twice yet still came away empty-handed. When Konyaspor do take the lead, they can look dangerous. When they’re chasing, the shape tends to get looser. Against a team like Fenerbahçe, that can be costly.

Fenerbahçe Form & Analysis

Fenerbahçe come into this looking sharper than they did a fortnight ago. Their 3-1 home win over Başakşehir on 2 May was the kind of performance that settles nerves. They were ahead by half-time through Talisca and Amine Harit, and Talisca added two more after the break to kill the game. The underlying numbers were strong too: 22 shots, nine on target, five big chances. That’s dominant stuff, and it followed a difficult spell where they lost 3-0 at Galatasaray on 26 April and were held 2-2 by Çaykur Rizespor before that. The derby defeat stung. The response mattered.

Away from home, Fenerbahçe have been one of the stronger sides in the league. Their away record stands at nine wins, five draws and only two losses from 16 matches, with 34 goals scored and 18 conceded. That’s a serious return. They don’t just travel well; they travel like a team expecting to control games. The 4-0 win at Kayserispor on 11 April showed their ceiling on the road, and even in the derby defeat at Galatasaray, it was an outlier in an otherwise imposing away profile. They’re third in the away table for a reason. They turn up.

There is a slight cautionary note, though. Fenerbahçe have been involved in enough open matches recently to keep this from feeling like a closed-book away banker. They drew 2-2 with Rizespor, lost heavily at Galatasaray, and now face a Konyaspor side that’s already managed to frustrate them once this month. Even so, they’ve got goals in them from midfield and wide areas, and the balance of the squad looks stronger than Konyaspor’s. If they settle early, the home side could spend long spells on the back foot. That would suit the visitors just fine.

Head-to-Head

These two know each other well, and the recent meetings have been properly mixed. The last clash came on 21 April in the cup and ended 0-0 in Konya, with Konyaspor doing enough to drag Fenerbahçe into a tight, nervy contest. But league history has swung both ways. Fenerbahçe thumped Konyaspor 4-0 in Istanbul on 15 December 2025, and they also won 2-1 at home in May 2025 and 3-2 away from home in January that same year.

There’s a pattern here if you want one: Fenerbahçe usually have the edge, but Konyaspor are capable of keeping things messy, especially on their own turf. The cup draw was no fluke. It was part of a wider picture where this fixture has often produced goals, with more than 2.5 landing in five of the last seven meetings. That doesn’t guarantee a thriller on Saturday, but it does tell you these sides can open up when the game finds its rhythm.

We Predict: Both Teams To Score

We’re backing Both Teams To Score at 4/5 for this one. If you want a few more angles around BTTS tips, our BTTS tips page pulls together BTTS tips with more both-teams-to-score angles across the schedule. It’s a sensible angle in a match that looks far more open than the last cup meeting might suggest. Konyaspor have scored in plenty of recent games, they’re usually competitive at home, and they’ve already shown they can get under Fenerbahçe’s skin. The visitors, though, are too strong to expect to be blanked again, especially after putting three past Başakşehir with Talisca leading the charge.

A 2-1 away win is the call. That fits the shape of the contest: Fenerbahçe have the cleaner attacking level, but Konyaspor’s home record and their habit of making things awkward should keep this alive for long enough to land BTTS. If you want a slightly safer approach, Fenerbahçe draw no bet is the alternative angle, but the better price and the better read here is both sides scoring.
